GEMS Girls’ Club is a relationship building program for girls in grades 1st through 8th. The name GEMS stands for Girls Everywhere Meeting the Savior. The mission of GEMS Girls’ Club is to help bring girls into a living, dynammic relationship with Jesus Christ. Our vision for GEMS is to see girls actively and enthusiastically expressing love for God and others. Our goal for every club meeting is to grow bigger hearts.
Each year we choose a specific passage of Scripture for girls to explore during the season. This Annual Theme is woven throughout the year in a variety of ways including a badge study, a theme night, and lessons in our GEMS curriculum and magazines. Throughout the year the girls will do Bible lessons, devotionals, songs, creative movements, games, crafts, and service projects in an effort to make the theme relevant to their lives.
For the 2011-2012 year, our GEMS Counselors will be Donna Houk, Christin Eley, Elham Ketchum and Christy Andacht. Our Club Coordinator will be Lori O’Donnell. All Club dates for 1st semester are listed on the website’s CALENDAR page.
If you are interested in joining GEMS Girl’s Club or would just like more information, please call Lori O’Donnell at 524-0686 or leave her a message at the church office at 748-3363.
